NEW MEMBERS

As we have new members desiring to join the team I want to make sure all expectations and steps are clear.  As a result, I am in the process of finalizing some revisions to our Worship Team policy (or standards).   As soon as they are done, I will send them out and ask for your feedback, additions or subtractions.

Here is a current timeline of steps people will follow in joining the worship team.  Please read and comment, if needed.  Thanks!  I appreciate your input.

The following is a timeline of events when joining the Rock Church Worship Team

 

- Beginning Point Class

- Online application and gift assessment

-Optional attend open practice (first practice of month)

- Interview with an assigned leader to include picture taken  (per all church policy)

-Audition with section leader and director

- Shadow section leader: coming to each practice including all team meetings

-Learn new songs prior to practice

-Receive copy of Team guidelines (to include why and expectations) and "Equipping the worship team" and other books that support guidelines

-2 month trial period (we reserve the right to extend the trial period) during which may include asking you to take a break to work on things and come back)

-Re-evaluate any need for further trial period

-Welcome on team

-Train on blog

What an amazing weekend! You all were so transparent and "real."

It was awesome when Nahshon said, "Can we postpone the new song and do
it all live?" I love it! We are asking for challenge.
