A Little Secret...

I frequently get asked by people where I find my music and while the sources are vast, one supplier I keep hitting for more. It's called www.Pandora.com, a product of the Music Genome Project, a fascinating experiment in metapreference (...raise your hand if you are bored).

The site allows you to create "stations" based on songs or artists you prefere. It then creates a playlist of recommended music based on a series of algorithms which evaluate key signatures/changes, tempo, instrument types, number of instruments, harmonies, and many more. Your yes/no vote on the song then in theory, leads to a more finely tuned preference list.

Try it out! You may discover something new.
