July All Vocal Meeting!!!

Attention vocalists!

This month's meeting will be held @ 57th Street Productions! This is the recording studio located next door to the Monroe campus. It is in the same building, just one door down.

We will meet from 6:30 to 8:00 on Wednesday, July 15. As always, don't worry if you need to arrive a little late. Just let me know when you plan to arrive.

Don't miss it! We will be doing some learning and singing, then head out on a team "Quench"-ing mission!

QUENCH!!!!!

I wanted to encourage everyone to get a case of water from the church to give to anyone who may need a drink!

Stop by today/tomorrow, so you can give it out at a huge 4th of July gathering. Can you imagine seeing QUENCH bottles all over your local park where people gather to watch fireworks?

Get a case for the next sporting event your kids are participating in. Newsflash - "Snack Mom Connects Kids to Life"

And be sure to invite someone you celebrate with on Saturday to "Red, White and Blueberry Pancakes" Sunday @ 10. One huge service @ 11:30. Worship is gonna be beautiful!

Prayer Request

I am not a Debbie Downer, so please do not take this as that.

I have been informed that my cousin Ryan and his girl friend Darla lost their two year old daughter Brooklyn Grace earlier this week. After they attended my niece's second birthday, they went home and put her down for a nap. She woke up, snuck outside, and drown in their pool.

Please give prayer for her mother who found her, and attempted to revive her. Please give prayer for her father, for she was his world. Please give prayer for her uncle who found her binky in the pool, when he was trying to prepare the home for their return. This side of my family is very much in pain and need some grace.

And please if you have kids, or know little ones....

Give them a big hug and pray over them tonight.

WOW! Monroe campus worship was off-the-hook, blow me away, awesome on Sunday! Way to rock it from beginning to end! I love you guys & your passion to worship God in every way. There was no doubting your passionate pursuit for him even in the rap for offering! No one could have left Sunday without being touched by God & it's your fault. Really, I haven't the words to describe to you how cool it was! Thanks!

FATHER'S DAY

I think we found a great song that fits with the CAR AND BIKE SHOW for Father's Day. It's "Ignition" from Toby Mac. Give it a listen, if you can and let me know what ya think! It will be a special song so not in the worship set.

THIS WEEKEND AND FATHER'S DAY

WOW! Thank you, Team, for pushing the edge of the envelope! You came to practice with questions answered and practices well put in. It showed! We did the most difficult song we have ever done in the history of The Rock Church and I am so pleased, proud and grateful or your faith and fearlessness! You felt comfortable enough to ask question and get help.

You are simply the best!!! This took THE ENTIRE TEAM to a whole nothah level!

Father's Day is our biggest weekend of the year...Chistmas included. We have many of our major vocal players gone. I am a bit taken back by how many we have gone. (-: You know, I always want EVERY service HUGE! (-: as of right now, we will not be doing the new song we worked on and were planning on doing just because we don't have enough people here.

Please don't feel like you cannot take a vaca or break. That is not what I am saying. What I am saying is...As a reminder, it is important for all of us to work our vacations and schedules around each other so Sundays, especially our biggest Sunday won't lack momentum. I realize there has been a switch in who vocalists report your vacas too, which I believe may have contributed to the mix up. If you CAN be here or switch your schedule to be here, please let Rachel know this week.
