Aussie Worship All the Time

An interesting post yesterday from Tony Morgan. Are we too reliant on the talent of Hillsong?

we,ve done hiphop before! and recently. plus we had GRITS come and perform live {a few years ago}. I don't think we fit the new traditional church thing he's talk'n about, but good question

Those in Australia have been blessed and graced by God to lead the world in worship! They have also breathed freshness in some stale and stagnant worship that otherwise would not have changed.
Being a part of the planning side, I know we are always looking for great music... both from within and all over the world.
It is consistently at the forefront of my brain and heart to write music. I know our entire team would LOVE to and will write. And it will go all over the world!
I know most churches don't hold the skill, talent and anointing we are so blessed with and they don't even WANT to write. That's up to them. I love that Tony is probing and asking the questions, though.
Chris, thanks for your great words! I agree that he is talking of the traditional church as well as those who are closed other groups.

I love this team! What a blessing to perform songs written by team members and push the envelope with hip hop and other genres. Tony does a great job asking the hard questions. Thanks, Pastor Mel, for taking the time to describe your vision for the worship experience at The Rock.
